A silicon dioxide-filled, tooth-colored plastic mixture, composite resins can restore teeth to an attractive, healthy state. Composite resins represent several advantages over traditional silver or amalgam fillings.

Because composite resins are not made of metal, we can blend and mix shades to find the perfect color to match your natural teeth. This means only you and your dentist will know you have fillings. Another pro is that the tooth/composite bond actually supports the remaining tooth structure, deterring breakage and insulating against temperature changes. Medium and small composites can last seven to ten years – that’s as long as the tried and true amalgams. Best of all, composite resins allow us to keep more of your natural tooth structure intact than amalgams. We believe in conservative dentistry – the more natural tooth structure you keep, the better teeth you’ll likely have in the future.

Some patients experience mild and temporary post-placement sensitivity from composite resin fillings. The only caution we usually mention is that coffee, tea, and other staining foods and beverages may discolor your composites.

  I had my first routine appointment with Dr Andy Dalin last week and greatly enjoyed the experience.  I found the doctor and staff to be most congenial and professional.   Dalin Dental is by far the best dental provider in Missouri. The dentists are very knowledgeable, punctual, and very nonjudgmental. The dental hygenist are amazing as well! The front desk staff are also welcoming and easygoing. The company does not place pressure on the patient to spend excessive money on unnecessary procedures.

  I have been a patient if Dr Jeffrey Dalin for 36 years. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the entire staff and especially give a huge shout out to Dr Jeff Dalin. He is the best provider I have ever seen. Professional, incredible at his trade, caring and goes above and beyond for his clients. These days this amount of care is rarely found. He also has 2 other fantastic Dentists who work there as well. I refer people on a consistent basis and honestly have never heard anything but glowing reviews for this business and all 3 Dentists.   Like every other visit, I waited about 30 seconds in the vestibule and was taken to a chair. Two or three minutes later, they were working on me and before I knew it, they said they were finished. With that question, the entire staff wants to get patients taking care of. I can't recommend them enough.
